Halloween & Xmas Polish Haul
You guys are probably getting sick of me posting about hauls. My apologies. There has just been so much stuff that I have bought while I was M.I.A. last month, and I was so excited about it that I want to share it with you all! I figured I could take a break from the makeup hauls and show you guys a nail polish haul.
After seeing this post from Scrangie, I absolutely HAD to get these Halloween colors from China Glaze! One day, natneagle posted a tweet about getting the China Glaze Spellbound collection from Head2Toe Beauty.
When I saw the price they were charging, I jumped on the ball to get the Spellbound collection along with a couple of polishes from the Loves You Snow Much (holiday) collection. The entire Spellbound collection was only $8.97 and the 3 individual polishes I got from Love You Snow Much were only $2.99. Essie Matte About You top coat was actually the most expensive part of the purchase at a whopping $10.00! I was actually rather reluctant to get the Essie top coat, but went ahead and splurged to see what all the fuss is about with matte-finished nails.
Eventually, I’ll start posting “swatch” pics of all my nail polishes. Heck, I have enough of them, I might as well start blogging about them!! In the meantime, however, here’s some close up pics of what I got with this haul.
China Glaze Love You Snow Much Collection
China Glaze Emerald Sparkle. I have been wanting to get my hands on this nail polish since MissChievous first told me about it a year ago, yet everytime I went to my nearby Ulta or Sally’s in the town I was living in then, or even to the Sally’s in the town I live in now, I never see it! When I saw it was being released as part of the holiday collection, and that it was only $2.99, I HAD to get it. Yes, HAD to…my life depended on it. :P
China Glaze 5 Golden Rings. How absolutely gorgeous is this color?! And yes, it is just as gorgeous out of the bottle too! I have a habit of painting anything near me to see how the polish looks when painted on (my deodorant was the unlucky target this time), and I can’t wait to paint my nails with this color! It takes that annoying Christmas carol which we will not mention to a whole new level!
China Glaze Tinsel. Remember how in my St. Patrick’s Day Smoky Green video, I made the statement “Cause glitter kicks ass!”? Well, in case you haven’t noticed yet, that statement holds true 200% when it comes to nail polishes and me. This color makes me excited for Christmas!!
The last color in China Glaze’s Love You Snow Much collection is Ruby Pumps. It’s basically a ruby red version of Emerald Sparkle, red base with red glitter. I wasn’t able to find mine at the time I took pics, but when I do swatches of the collection, I’ll add it then for ya’ll! :)
China Glaze Spellbound Collection
Lastly, I got Essie’s Matte About You. In my humble opinion, I’m not really too impressed with matte finish polishes. I did like the outcome of Scrangie’s matte finish over Spellbound and Liquid Leather however, which is why I just bit the bullet and bought it. I don’t really see me getting a lot of use out of this though.
