IMATS LA 2009 Picture Time-Part I
Hey everyone! I’ve finally finished weeding through all the pictures and picked out all the goodies to share with you guys and dolls!
This weekend was so fabulous! Seeing all the different makeup companies there and all the talent that was in the room…it was like being a kid in a candy store! Actually, if you’ve ever been to Disneyland or name an amusement park “here” when you were a kid, that’s how it felt! At least for me anyways. As soon as I walked in the doors there was an interest rush of adrenaline and I just wanted to touch and play with everything I could get my hands on!
I got lots of pictures of the body painting and makeup that was being done at different booths and TONS of pictures of the student contest from Saturday. I didn’t hang around for too long on Sunday because I wanted to get home to spend some time with my dad since it was Father’s Day here in the U.S, so there’s not a ton of pics from that day. And unfortunately, Makeup Artist Magazine did not allow video recording in the classroom sessions, so I couldn’t get any video of the classes I went to. I did try to take notes as best as I could do and I’ll definitely be sharing the tips and information I got with you all here and in my videos!
If you have a love of makeup artistry, IMATS is definitely something you should try to go to. Makeup Artist Magazine hosts the event 4 times, throughout every year, in 4 different locations each time: London, Los Angeles, Sydney, and Toronto. The next show will be in Sydney, Australia, September 12th and 13th, 2009. So if any you lovelies out there live down under, or are planning a vacation during that time, mark the date in your calendar and get your tickets early!
Anyhoo, on with the pictures! Because there’s so many of them, I’m going to try to split them up over 4 to 6 posts so the loading time for the page won’t eat up your bandwidth and RAM. Yes, I know. How thoughtful of me (haha!).
I took this picture just to prove to people that Coastal Scents makeup isn’t an exclusive makeup line. Their products are the same products that you can get from random Ebayers online. A lot of the brush booths were selling these palettes.
One of the entries for the student contest. The theme this year was “Gothic” and focused on the gothic beauty looks that were on runway shows recently. This entry was my favorite! That choker is actually makeup!
MORE PICS TO BE CONTINUED…
