Smashbox Photo Finish Primer, $49

I saw these at Ulta the other day and flipped out! I recently became a lover of this primer and now, for a limited time, Smashbox Photo Finish primer will be available in a “jumbo size” 2.0 fl. oz./60 ml. That’s twice the size of the original packaging! And guess what, despite the fact that you’re getting twice the amount of product, you’re not having to fork out twice the price. The jumbo size primer is available for only $49 USD, which really is quite a deal when you consider the fact that the original 1 oz./30 ml product costs $36! So if you love this stuff as much as I do, you may want to head over to your local Sephora, Ulta, or just go to smashbox.com and get you a couple of these puppies for backups and to always have handy! The only drawback: It’s only the original formual that is available in the jumbo size as of right now. But they are planning on making the other formulas readily available in the jumbo size as well, so don’t fret!

By the way, for those of you who haven’t tried this primer, when it says apply a pea-sized amount, that’s really all you need! This stuff is fantastic! Do you guys have any other recommendations for foundation primers? What have been your experiences with them?

EDIT: I just noticed on the Smashbox website, that to tame frizzies you can run adab of this wonderful stuff through your hair! How cool is that??

    Hi fran!!
Thanks for this tip! uhm do you know what the difference between this and the MAC face primer is?? Does the smashbox thing makes the make up last londer or highlights or both or what?
and when i’m at it, i y´just ask you another thing, I’ve been wondering about.. I participated in your blogspot session and learned about specktra and swaping but honestly I don’t really know, how i can swap! is there kind of a store or thread to find ppl or do I just write s.o. randomly?
So, Thanks a lot for the advice and being so active on your great blog!!

Unfortunately, I don’t. This is the first primer I’ve ever used for foundation. I went with this one to try first because I heard it was better than MAC’s Prep & Prime. But as for knowing first hand, I couldn’t tell ya. :(

This stuff is AMAZING! I just used it for the first time at Sephora today, and I loved the way my foundation looked on top of it. I’m glad I decided to wait on buying this primer. Thanks for the info!
